Karine Savard is an artist and poster designer. After finishing a degree in Design Art at Concordia University, she creates publicity films posters for many award winning movies including C.R.A.Z.Y., Incendies, Monsieur Lazhar and Blue is the warmest color that won the Palme d’Or at Cannes Films festival (2013). She collaborates with many narrative and documentary film producers and distributors, including Micro_scope, Séville, Métropole Films, Les Films du 3 Mars, COOP Vidéo (Montreal), Mongrel Media (Toronto), Participant Media (Los Angeles), Folkets bio (Stockholm), Filmcoopi (Zürich). She is currently undergoing a Ph.D at l'Université du Québec à Montréal.  Her research focuses on the theme of work in posters and cinema and on collaborative practices between art and industry. Her work was presented in different contexts in the urban environment, at Eastern Bloc artist center and at the Mexico Poster Biennal. She was awarded the Lux prize (2014) and the Communication Arts - Illustration Annual prize (2015).
